Tech Startup Day: “Artificial intelligence is the future of HR”, says Intuo

Intuo’s success story continues. With more than half a million people using their smart HR software, the Ghent-based company has smoothly transitioned from start-up to scale-up in less than two years’ time. “To stay ahead of the game, our next step is implementing artificial intelligence (AI) into our HR platform”, says Chief Marketing Officer Jorn Vanysacker, who will be speaking at Tech Startup Day on March 9.

The hunt for talent calls for AI

The world of HR is undergoing tremendous change. By 2020, more than half of the working population will consist of Millennials. Jorn elaborates: “The hunt for talent is on. Working Millennials desire opportunities for personal development and growth, and companies have no choice but to cater to this demand if they want to keep their staff on board. AI will prove a crucial tool for this new kind of HR.”

€190,000 to help predict the future

To integrate artificial intelligence into their HR software, Intuo managed to secure €190,000 in funding. Jorn is confident that they will be bringing their smart HR platform to market next year: “By 2018, Intuo’s talent management platform will not only enable companies to follow up on employee satisfaction, performance and training in real-time, but also make accurate predictions concerning an employee’s state of mind. Our intelligent software will also suggest ways in which employers can optimize employee satisfaction.”

Intuo @ Tech Startup Day

There is no denying that artificial intelligence is the next big thing for tech startups. At Tech Startup Day, Jorn will be sharing his view on AI and how it will affect the tech startup community: “I’m not saying AI is going to keep people from realizing their professional dreams, and I don’t believe that it will ever be able to replace the human aspect of doing business either. But it is going to be a game-changer for sure.”
