KBC Securities Entrepreneurial Summit: from startup to stock market

Startups, entrepreneurs and investors all over the country are counting the days until Saturday, October 22, 2016, when the third edition of the KBC Securities Entrepreneurial Summit will take place in Leuven. Looking forward to attending this unique convention? So are we! As a partner of the Start it@kbc startup community, Telenet Kickstart is more than happy to give you a preview of what to expect.

KBC Securities Entrepreneurial Summit: what’s it about?

The KBC Securities Entrepreneurial Summit was brought to life three years ago to help startups and investors get in touch. The exciting journey from napkin sketch to listed company serves as a connecting thread throughout the event, which features a startup fair with over 40 participants, live pitches, and lectures given by some of Belgium’s most successful investors, crowdfunding specialists and top CEOs.

One of the highlights of the event will be a presentation on corporate innovation in co-creation with startups and digital entrepreneurs, given by Erik Vervloet, New Business Director at Telenet.

Top startups you get to meet and greet

Following an online voting contest, 5 startups have been specially selected to participate in the fair and pitch their project in front of an audience of entrepreneurs and investors. In no particular order, attendees of the KBC Securities Entrepreneurial Summit will get to listen to the story of:

  • Kodibox: plastic moving boxes you can rent
  • Dimension4: high-volume customized 3D printing
  • Nohau: networking-based recruitment agency
  • Postbuzz: local news and events gathered in one online package
  • Safewatch: watch that monitors and reports medical data to caregivers

‘Belgium’s most promising startup’

Which startup will be named ‘Belgium’s most promising startup’ and take home 90,000 euros worth of prizes? The crowd decides! Everyone attending the KBC Securities Entrepreneurial Summit will get to cast their vote by buying fictitious stocks for a total of 10,000 ‘boleuros’ which they receive upon entering the fair.
